FALL 2010 FASHION DESIGN PROGRAM
September 27, 2010 to June 28, 2011

REGISTRATION FEE: $100-
-non-refundable fee due with Application Form.
TUITION: $8500-
-20% of tuition ($1700-) is due by June 30, 2010 to secure a space in the Program, as space is limited. The remainder of Tuition ($6800-) must be paid by the first day classes commence.
*Application Form download HERE. This form outlines necessary enrollment requirements, as well as Tuition Refund Policy. Students must be a highschool graduate (highschool transcript must be submitted before start of the Program) or apply under Adult Status of 21 yrs or older (Resume required with Application).
*No Portfolio needed for Application. Many people have not been given the opportunity or the tools to target their innate imagination, design potential and sewing abilities. Student potential is not judged on previous experience or a pre-planned portfolio.
*Tuition Includes All text books, course material & most supplies.
*Students must provide their own standard sewing machine ($60- and up. A secondhand machine is sufficient), fabric & sewing supplies.

November 2009: Graduate students Feoktista Konev, Alicja Rosnowski & Nadine Boudreau-Beland showcase their current fashion designs during "Paparazzi-The Event" -- the luxury charity event of the season, bringing together community, glamour & art in Kelowna, BC.
June 2009: Graduate student, Cassandra Belanger, interning for non-profit organization, Invisible Children, teaching practical tailoring and pattern drafting in their tailoring school in Rwanda, Africa. www.invisiblechildren.com
March 2008: Okanagan Fashion Institute Students are Panel of Judges for Skills Canada Fashion Design Competition, featuring high school fashion design competitors from across British Columbia.

June 2008: Graduating students, Danielle Behan and Lesley McQaurrie, have been selected by renowned Fashion Designer, Jason Matlo, to intern in his atelier in Vancouver, BC beginning July 2008.
May/June 2008: Well known Canadian Fashion Designer, Jason Matlo, spent 3 days as a guest instructor at Okanagan Fashion Institute.
April 26, 2008: "Couture For The Kids", Kelowna, BC -- Hot Vancouver Fashion Designer, Jason Matlo, presents his 2008 Design Collections after returning from New York Fashion Week.
